Jacopo Trulla - Rugby Player

Jacopo Trulla is one of the most promising young talents in Italian rugby. Born in Vicenza, he began his rugby career with the local club, ASD Rugby Vicenza.

When did your career begin?

Jacopo Trulla’s career took a turning point at the age of 14, when he joined Valsugana, Padua’s second club. With Valsugana, Trulla won the Italian Under-16 and Under-18 championships, while attending the FIR regional academy in Treviso, further developing his skills and talent. 

Jacopo Trulla’s sporting career has spanned several prestigious Italian clubs. After honing his skills at Valsugana and the FIR “Ivan Francescato” Academy, which competes in the Italian Serie A championship, Trulla was signed by Calvisano, a TOP12 team, in 2019. He was subsequently invited as an additional player to the Zebre franchise and was included as a permit player the following year.

What has he achieved in his career?

Jacopo Trulla boasts an impressive record, having played for the Under-18 national team and was part of the Italy Under-20 squad between 2019 and 2020, playing in two Six Nations tournaments and the World Cup, appearing in 12 matches and scoring six tries. His growth and talent have not gone unnoticed, leading him to be called up to the senior national team by coach Franco Smith. Trulla made his debut as a starter on November 14, 2020, in the Autumn Nations Cup match against Scotland.
